January 16, 2018 – John Fensterwald of EdSource writes about recent developments regarding the state’s plan to comply with the federal Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA). Public Advocates is mentioned in the article as a critic of the state’s approach to holding low-performing schools accountable for improvement under ESSA.
