April 5, 2017 – Howard Blume of the Los Angeles Times reports on the complaint that Public Advocates filed against the Long Beach Unified School District. The district has misspent more than $40 million dollars in state funding that was intended for high-need students. Public Advocates  filed the complaint on behalf of Children’s Defense Fund-California, Latinos in Action and parents Marina Roman Sanchez and Guadalupe Luna.
