“Every day, Public Advocates is working to combat the systemic causes of injustice and oppression in our society. I’m deeply grateful to have the chance to contribute to this incredible organization. Through the power of storytelling and strategic communications, I’m working to amplify the reach of our campaigns, and hoping to contribute to progressive change across California.”
Duc joined Public Advocates as the Senior Communications Associate in 2016. Before joining the organization, he served as a strategic communications consultant for a number of progressive clients across the country. As a consultant, he played a key role in the communications campaign that helped pass AB 2125, the Healthy Nail Salon Bill, in 2016. This groundbreaking bill helps protect more than 129,000 nail salon workers in California.
Prior to his work as a consultant, Duc led marketing and development strategy at the Asian Pacific Fund, one of the only foundations in the country directly focused on supporting the Asian American and Pacific Islander community. Before that, he directed marketing strategy at DotHouse Health, one of Boston’s largest community health centers. Duc started his career at the Division of Global Ventures at the Department of Commerce in Wisconsin. In that role, he supported the Governor’s efforts to attract renewable energy and biotechnology investment from around the world.
Duc graduated from the University of Wisconsin – Madison with a B.B.A. in Marketing.
