September 28, 2017 – Andrew Edwards of the Long Beach Press-Telegram writes about the $24 million finding by the Los Angeles County Office of Education (LACOE). According to LACOE, the Long Beach Unified School District misspent $24 million that was intended for high need students. Public Advocates is representing the complainants in this case which includes parents Marina Roman Sanchez, Guadalupe Luna and Latinos in Action-California and the Children’s Defense Fund-California,  The article mentions Public Advocates Senior Staff Attorney Angelica Jongco.
